Carlos Alperin. CEO
Since childhood Carlos developed a passion for arts, films and travel. In the 70’s he studied Fine Arts at Jerusalem’s Betzalel Art School followed by Film Studies at Tel Aviv’s Beit Tzvi. After a long career in scriptwriting, editing and production of animation, documentaries and feature films in Argentina, Israel, United States, China and Japan, Carlos moved with his family to Australia where he studied for a MA in Film & TV at Griffith University.
In the 1990’s Carlos wrote, directed and produced episodes of the animated series Cosmo Kids (recipient of the Australian Writers’ Guild, Monte Miller Award), The Pup Pups (developed with Scottish TV), and Bilby Blastoff.
Since 1994, Carlos has participated 65 international film and TV markets where he signed alliances and co-production agreements with international distributors, producers and broadcasters. In 2002, Carlos founded Galloping Films as an international sales agency and since then he signed more than 70 international producers for Galloping Films to represent their films and programs.
In 2005, Carlos wrote and produced the multi-award winning documentary Raul The Terrible directed by twice Academy Award nominee David Bradbury. In 2009 he produced the thriller ICU directed by Aash Aaron and in 2010 the comedy The Cost Of Living directed by Veronica Craven.
In 2010, Carlos joined forces with Roham Ghodsi, and founded Galloping Illusions, a production and finance company with offices in Australia, United States, Mexico and Colombia.
In 2012, 2013 and 2014 Carlos served as a Juror for the prestigious International Emmy Awards.
As a Producer, Sales Agent and Financier, Carlos provides a powerful combination of creative energy and business savvy. He is an outstanding negotiator with an experienced eye for content and talent.
Roham (Rome) Ghodsi CFO
Rome has been always interested in integrating stories to his visual design talent and since the age of fourteen has been writing Thrillers and Action/Adventure short stories and screenplays.
Rome has a degree in Communication Design Fine Arts from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he specialised in the creation and programming of CGI.
Rome is a very prolific and multifaceted artist, producer and financier. He produced and directed over a dozen of music videos per year for labels such as Sony, Century Media and Roadrunner Records. He also worked as a Stills Photographer for major European Music Acts under the labels of Tabu Records, Candlight, Peaceville and Snapper Music. He is also a very prolific composer of Jazz, Blues and Heavy Metal.
In 2007 he founded Illusion Film Studios to finance and produce the feature film Someone’s Knocking at the Door which was selected by 16 international film festivals, winning three of them. He also developed film projects such as Dances with Werewolves, Thomas Edison Demon Hunter
and Thirteen Autumns and A Widow.
In 2010, Rome joined forces with Carlos Alperin, and founded Galloping Illusions, a production and finance company with offices in Australia, United States, Mexico and Colombia.
In the last few years, Rome has excelled in brokering tax rebates, structured debt/mezzanine finance and other creative level finance to fund films and media related companies.
